Teng Chan Leong
Carnegie Mellon University ’14
chan_leong1
Chan Leong studies Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU ’14). He was accepted through Early Decision in January 2010, about 6 months after participating in USAPPS 2009. He is actively involved in Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity and loves snowboarding. He believes that USAPPS will continue to introduce the different types of universities in the US, how to get there and connect those who are interested in learning more about US education with those who are studying there. He also hopes that all Malaysian students take advantage of this valuable workshop series.

Ng Jung Kian
The University of Southern California ’14

Jung Kian stumbled upon USAPPS in 2009 and has been part of it since. He thought it was life-changing and he still thinks it is. He wishes to contribute as much as he has gained from USAPPS. Nevertheless, he acknowledges the fact that he’s still learning a great deal more than he gives, up until today. Jung Kian will always be there to help even if that means taking away his time hanging out at mamak stalls. He’s contactable via njkian@gmail.com.

Melwyn Pak
Brown University ’15

A rising senior, Melwyn is interested in making young Malaysians aware of the various opportunities that they have and encouraging them to take it. While not nerding over CS or pushing code to hospitals in Zanzibar, he can always be distracted by dropping him a line at melwynpak@gmail.com or a message on Facebook.
